Commercial Projects
The project typology ranges from shops, offices to hotels. They each have a theme/client for the projects, where the design will revolved around them.
Through the commercial projects, I am able to practice doing different variety of designs and exercise the skills sets I have to produced the designed spaces.
'Connecting Through Time' is the main theme that links my works. The key design factor of these works is the used of materials and design intent of the relationship between the space with the site and users.
The Way We Shop
A design plugin located at the revamped iconic shopping mall
- Chinatown Point -
This project analyse how the people shops in the mall and how the surrounding residents respond to the space.
The design plugin is then insert into the space to revitalize the pain points that I picked out of the mall.
"Bridging to the Past"
La Hände
A Wellness Shop located at the busy street of
- Haji Lane -
This project seeks to 'provide' a resting space for consumers that visits this busy street that is filled with food and entertainment. Located amidst all the trendy stores, this wellness shop is a huge contrast to the environment it is in.
La Hände is a wellness shop that has nature and past as it's core design factors. It provides services such as nail art, feet massage and workshops, providing lessons on how to do nail arts and make natural skincare products.
Mixing Industrial and Modern
An Industrial and Modern themed Cafe
This project is an exercise to practice using the software, Revit and the secondary intention of designing a cafe space.
With people always seeking for new experience that are no longer just modern clean spaces, I bring in the theme of mixing industrial and modern chic interior in bringing out a raw yet sophisticated experience for the consumers.
Reimagining Tumblr Office
Using currently Tumblr's office as the research of their company's character and working style, I reimagine the office space into a more colourful, casual and vibrant working space for both the company staff and people visiting it.
This brings out their nature of being a media company and their fun and flexible working environment.
Villa Veteris
Modern, clean design Villas? This Villa design in Phuket Thailand is a contrast from the stereotypical modern Villas.
My design intention is to bring back the lost value of villas, their raw and rough textures that tells time and stories of the place. While keeping these characteristics of the building, the interior furniture complements the spaces with it's minimalistic design.
