Design Questioning and Redefining of HDBs through Levels of Enclosure
HDBs is the main residential typology for majority of the Singaporeans yet they are designed by the government. The preplanned spaces result in our living lifestyle being predetermined.
This predetermined levels of privacy and publicity in HDBs does not suit everyone's way of living, therefore a change in HDB is needed.
The project is separated into 3 phases: Temporal, Permanent and Infinite. Each phase critiques on current HDB designs and shows how the different levels of privacy and publicity can may better suit the needs of the different users.
